It brings the entire value chain together and gives unrivalled access to the greatest number of development projects and sources of capital worldwide. The event gives the opportunity to showcase companies, projects and concepts and reach out to thousands of industry professionals in just four days.
"We are honored to be a finalist for Best Sustainable Proptech Startup for the Propel by MIPIM NYC 2021 Startup Competition,” said Jordan Bem, Founder and CEO of Moliving. “Moliving is a fast-growing company changing the way hotels and hospitality are viewed, designed, developed, and experienced by using proprietary technology and building methods to actively solve problems faced by the traditional hotel and construction industries."
Moliving is the world’s first nomadic hotel concept, making mobile hospitality a reality with its new luxury pre-fab units that can pop up anytime and anywhere. Being at the forefront of eco-responsibility, the Moliving Units are designed with sustainability, durability, modularity and luxury in mind, and can be relocated without leaving a trace behind. Moliving recently revealed its first model unit at the future site of what will be the flagship hotel located in New York’s Hudson Valley, set to open Spring 2022.
By focusing on seasonal and traditionally hard to develop markets, Moliving offers future hoteliers and landowners the opportunity to build hotels in months versus years, at a fraction of the cost, and a fraction of the carbon footprint of a traditional hotel. With mobility in mind, Moliving can predict seasonal demand and adjust room inventory to match demand in real time. Moliving is the first hotel operator that can efficiently achieve and maintain peak occupancy and ADRs on a year-round basis.
Moliving Units are built with recycled and eco-friendly materials. Moliving has for goal to protect our environment by implementing sustainable alternatives to harmful practices. Moliving Units are designed, developed in house and manufactured in local factories to reduce its carbon footprint and to ensure efficiency, predictability, and dependability. SG Blocks, an innovative modular fabricator, has been contracted to assist Moliving in producing 60 units for Moliving’s first hotel at Hurley House. SG Blocks also has a notable client base that includes Marriott, Aman, Equinox, and more.
Built on custom designed chassis, Moliving units can be set as standalone or grouped together to form a multilevel establishment. Each Moliving unit can be fully self-sufficient, with the ability to be set in an “off the grid” setting or connected to the host property in a matter of minutes. Each unit uses the latest lithium battery technology to store energy harvested from rooftop solar panels, gray water recycling technology enabling a reduction in water consumption, UV sanitization technology, hands-free controls for all electronics, and a seamless tablet control integration. Moliving is also in the process of creating a mobile application that will provide an interface for all Unit guests to handle all front of house and back of house lodging functions, from check in to requests for additional pillows. The app also allows both Moliving and its guests access to track and store consumption data – including electric data, air quality, water consumption, lighting preferences and more – to ensure a customized stay, tailored to their exact preferences.
